'The King of Cabaret' (BBC Radio 4), Stefan Bednarczyk displays unrivalled mastery of the genre with his acclaimed show, An Evening of Flanders & Swann. Having toured the world, and hailed as 'a one-man-show that demands the widest possible audience' (The Times), Bednarczyk displays virtuoso piano skills and a peerless gift for delivering wit, hilarity and charm, through two dozen songs, crammed into one performance.
The show is a tribute to Michael Flanders and Donald Swann, the hilarious and hugely talented writers and performers popular in the 50s and 60s.
Described by the Musical Theatre Review in 2018 as 'two hours of sheer bliss', the show was originally commissioned in 1995 by the widows of Flanders and Swann, premiering in the West End before going on to be performed all over the world. Claudia Flanders regarded Bednarczyk as the finest interpreter of her late husband's work.
'Entirely alone at the piano, Stefan Bednarczyk is the best Flanders and Swann since Flanders and Swann themselves' International Herald Tribune
'In the same Olympian bracket as Noel Coward and Victor Borge' Sunday Times
