The world-renowned BBC Singers take centre stage at the resplendent Wilton Italianate Church in a specially curated programme for Celebrate Voice Festival’s opening night. A golden opportunity to hear the group in a rare out-of-London performance. Join us for an unforgettable evening of choral music by one of UK’s most esteemed professional choirs, with captivating works by Hubert Parry, the contemporary genius of female composers Kristina Arakelyan and Sarah Quartel, and soul-stirring creations of Roderick Williams.
Under the masterful baton of conductor Bob Chilcott, one of the UK’s best-known composer-conductors, the BBC Singers weave a musical tapestry that spans centuries. Chilcott's own composition, The Song of Harvest, promises to be a pinnacle of the evening, inviting you, our audience, to become an integral part of the performance if you so wish.
The performance will be recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 3, ensuring that your presence and voice resonate far beyond the walls of the Wilton Italianate Church.
Hearing them sing is a reminder both of their greatness as an ensemble, and of their centrality as interpreters in musical history. The Guardian
