Loved by Celebrate Voice audiences over the past decade, baritone Philip Smith presents a different kind of performance repertoire, with a special lunchtime classical song recital. Philip uses the settings of the Shakespeare's songs from a number of his plays for exploring the compositions of a variety of composers' settings of these words from Finzi to Quilter, Korngold to Vaughan Williams.

Philip is a Samling Artist, a Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme alumnus and Crear Scholar. He enjoys a busy and varied singing career performing in recital, oratorios and opera.  In recital he has worked with internationally recognised pianists including Julius Drake, Malcolm Martineau, Roger Vignoles, James Cheung and Joseph Middleton at venues across the UK including the Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, Leeds Leider Festival and Aldeburgh Music.  He has broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 from the Wigmore Hall with the Prince Consort and features on a number of recordings including Benjamin Britten’s Tit for Tat with Malcolm Martineau. On the opera stage he has performed for The Royal Opera House at the Globe, Opera North, Welsh National Opera, Royal Danish Opera, Teatro Maggio Musicale Florence and Polish National Opera as well as extensive tours with Mid Wales Opera and Diva Opera.

Siobhan works mainly as a recitalist and solo pianist and has performed at the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House, St James's Piccadilly, Southbank Centre, the Austrian Cultural Institute, Fairfield Hall, the House of Lords and the Tower of London, as well as  various live BBC Radio broadcasts. She recently performed with Elizabeth Watts at the Bath MozartFest and the North Norfolk Festival. Siobhain made her television debut in Channel 5’s The Singing Estate, where about forty inhabitants of Oxford’s Blackbird Leys housing estate were trained as a choir, culminating in a performance at  the Royal Albert Hall.
