Please note, due to the historic nature of the building, we regret that there is no wheelchair access to the Oak Court Room. There are 12 wide steps from the foyer (wheelchair accessible) to the Court Room.
There cannot be a more fitting venue for Gilbert & Sullivan's Trial by Jury, than the historic, site-specific Oak Court Room within Salisbury's Guildhall! Our first performance will partner a lively operetta gala (23 Oct), and the second matinee performance invites you, the audience, to be the chorus (30 Oct) as you are put through your paces in a rehearsal before a raucous performance in the second half!
Bride-to-be Angelina has been jilted by her dastardly fiancée Edwin. She decides to sue him for breach of promise of marriage. The judge and indeed all the members of the jury fall for Angelina’s charms, so will she finally manage to walk down the aisle? Gilbert’s wit is brilliant and Sullivan’s music at its best, so no wonder Trial by Jury has been referred to as 'probably the most successful British one-act operetta of all time'.
Don't miss this remarkable performance experience of a beloved British work, with a seasoned cast in an unrivalled location!
